NICK JONAS’ DIABETES

Nick Jonas was born September 16, 1992 in Dallas, Texas. Nick is one of the four children born to Kevin (Sr.) and Denise Jonas. Nick has two older brothers and one younger brother. His oldest brother’s name is Kevin (Jr.) and is currently 21 years old. His other older brother’s name is Joseph, but prefers to be called Joe, and he is currently 19 years old. Finally Nick’s younger brother’s name is Frankie, and he is currently 8 years old. The Jonas Brother’s are known about worldwide.
Unfortunately, Nick Jonas was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, at age 14. This is a disease that results when the body does not produce the hormone insulin that is needed to convert sugar into energy. He was diagnosed November 25, 2005. Nick first announced, to the world, that he had diabetes on March 11, 2007 at the Diabetes Research Institute’s Carnival for a Cure fundraising event in New York.
Nick has a few tips for kids with diabetes. The first is don’t be afraid to tell your friends. Use it as an opportunity to get closer to them. Next, every diabetic has foods that won’t work for them (that send their blood sugar soaring). His are pancakes and soda. Finally, when your blood sugar is low, drink some juice. When your blood sugar is high, drink water, relax, and watch your temper. Nick tells kids with diabetes that it will be okay.

i love the jonas brothers they are hot flamming wild beasts! i will marry joseph adam jonas! i have seen them on concert 23 times and have more to come!

I love the jonas brothers especially nick who has diabetes, when i found out he had it i began to cry, i thought to myself that he’s not going to die, i would like to thank kevin and joe jonas who helped nick throughout the years, and the concert years, you really support him.
